Swaps are Challenges

I have been creating for several swaps on Scrapbook.com. It challenges me to create things I have not thought I could do. Here are some of the challenge results. Stick Pins in pink and blue for the embellishment swap.

Red Rose Kit Swap using 8 x 8 papers that are easy to mail.

ATC in 2 categories July 4th and Summer I used the Shell Dazzles from Hot Off the Press for the Summer Days with Claudine Hellmuth papers and used a gate fold. The July 4th ATC with the ladies is a collection of scraps. The gate fold July 4th is DCWV Nana's Kids with KC dimensional stickers. I am finding it is important to give all products a name while posting.

Now I am working with 4 x 4 canvas in 4 categories, ATC in 2 categories, Kit Swap in 2 categories and altered Mason jars in 2 categories. I will keep you posted on the results.

Cascade Cards

My friend sent me a pattern for the cascade cards. I thought about it for three months and then I said Move It. I made three before I liked what I was doing. Here are the results.

Look at the projects I have been working on. I have so many project ideas and then when I sit down I cannot remember what I was thinking about. I think that is why people suggest using a sketch book. Book review: Mical’s Window by Rachelle Ayala

This is a great historical novel. I have always wondered about Michal the first wife of David after reading about David and Michal in 1^st and 2^nd Samuel. And then 2 Smauel 6:23 closes Michal’s story with a sad report, it says that out of the many wives of David in the Bible, "to her dying day Michal, daughter of Saul, had no children.” Rachelle Ayala does not stop there. Through use of historical landscapes and dialogues she spins a credible and somewhat steamy story that makes you think this could have really happened

Altered Mason Jar Swap by Scrapbook.com

One of my favorite websites is Scrapbook.com. I can purchase supplies and join the forums. My first is the 2013 birthday card swap and then one of my sisters decided to have an Altered Mason Jar Swap. I joined the Steampunk and Anything Goes swap. Below are my creations which basically look similar. I used black scrapbook dazzles from Hot Off the Press and Purple Lovely Ladies dazzles with a Joline flower.
