I was blessed with a magpie doll kit from Carrie Payne, www.believemagic.com. She is also my daughter who is delightfully creative and a blessing. I was again out of my comfort zone. Do not get me wrong I have sewn forever but to create a pallet of art using cloth was new to me. Here are the results. She does not have a true square background but she is just fine. Before Christmas I found a magazine “Make Christmas Card Bumper Pack.” It had a set of stamps, embossing folder borders, lots of paper and ideas. I used the stamps to create cards using a medium I was not use to, like embossing on velum.
I used the decoupage sheets to make cards for the grandchildren.
And the embossing folder borders created this design of Merry Christmas (on the top left) by inking the folder.
I also used copper embossing powder to create this card on the bottom right,
